I have been away for like almost half a year, but I am finally back. The reason that I was not here was that my old notebook Dell Inspiron 6400 has broken down after two years of usage and without any real reason. I was stuck with my old computer from the year 2000 which only had 128Mb of memory and 40 gb of space, so you can probably imagine that it hardly worked with all the new requirements that Windows XP has. But now that computer is dead too and I had to buy nwew notebook. At first I was only looking at HP or Dell and I wasn't really into Dell since my first experience didn'

t end to well, so I was checking all possible HP computers. I was really impressed with HP Pavillion, but the official word on HP Slovenia was that this brand of HP computers aren't ment for Slovenia, so instead of buying it from some website where who knows what can happen I turned to ask for help to a work friend of my parents who is a bit more into computers. He suggested that I should look for other brand, because they could work out fine too. I wasn't too convinced at the beginning, because I am mostly familliar with these two brands, but he gave me some options that were quite interesting. I didn't have as much time as I usually have when I am deciding something like this because I needed the computer, but in the end I have decided to try out some Acer notebooks. I didn't know the brand before and the word online is mixed, some say that it's a good competition to Dell and HP

and some say that it's a bad choice. I don't exactly know too much about computers and I wasn't sure if it's better to buy a more expencive notebook and hope that it'll work for morre than 2 years or stay within some less expencive range and then not regret if it breaks down. At the end I had the option of trying out Acer Aspire 5738ZG notebook and I really liked it. I was impressed by the looks of it, I really love the shape and colour and it's weight is a lot smaller than the Inspiron 6400. I tried it out and decided that it works ok for me so I decided to buy it. The good thing was also that if anything happens my parents could simply give it back to their coworker and he could fix it fast and without real complications. So far this Acer is working great with Windows 7 and I am honestly impressed. Of course I will publish it here if that changes. :S

Few months ago there was a good offer for new digital cameras and since I have always wanted to own a good camera I have decided to take the plunge and buy one. I have found Nikon D60 with AF-S Nikkor 18-55 mm for a good price and I bought it. I hope to get the chance to take some classes to learn how to take better pictures, but for now I am simply taking shots at everything that I see. Some of these shots are OK, some aren't but I guess we all learn from our mistakes. :)
